Hey everyone out there in YAWA land. We are all very busy planning and organising our next e.p launch. We have invested in new aspects of our studio and our mixes are sounding better every single day. So Look forward to March Time to hear our new release.

Zak has recently purchased a double bass pedal to give our live rhythms a real kick (no pun intended) ad we are all practicing newly written songs for you to hear live.

We are planning a tour coming up and our next gig is on the 26th March at the Wolves civic. We are hoping to turn this into an e.p launch so keep your eyes peeled. And watch this space.

Until then check out our video of us performing live supporting Hadouken at the Wulfrun hall.

06/07/09 - YAWA Update: Watch Me Fly!

July 8th, 2009

Hey guys!

At the suggestion from one of the awesome members of the YAWA Street Team, we decided to do regular blogs to keep you informed of what we’ve been up to, what we’ve got to show you and what we’re going to do!

What we’ve been doing this week

We have played an awesome show in Kettering at Keystone Festival, where Dave rapped on a bouncy castle, Kieran performed a spontaneous acoustic set, Jamie acted as a makeshift microphone stand and Zak dodged from the police!

All in all, even with so many technical problems it was an amazing gig - everyone was dancing and raving and moshing and got their crunk on.   One person even shouted “GET CRUNK” without prior prompting, which has been Dave’s dream for many years now.   Cheers to everyone who came out to see us, including the awesome people who travelled for hours to support us!

We’ve also been working on two brand new songs for you guys which are freakin’ HEAVY.

What we’ve got for you

Head over to the myspace right now to listen to the brand new YAWA song “Watch Me Fly”!   Kieran’s vocals really get to shine in this one, be sure to tell us what you think!

We’re aiming to put out a new song every month (no promises yet!) - all we ask from you is to tell people you think might like the track about it!

We’ll be sending out a link for a FREE download of the song on this coming YAWA Sunday to all members of the YAWA mailing list - if you want to join then just jump on our myspace and scroll to the mailing list box, pop your email in and hit submit!

What we’re going to do

We’ll be working on the new songs (seriously, they’re heavier than Dave’s electronics case), getting ready for the upcoming show in Worcester and putting together a video blog for you! (Another thing we’re aiming to put together every month!)

Cheers for supporting YAWA, we really appreciate it!
